For well over a decade, clients and colleagues have asked that I publish some of my guidance and training on all things Product Development so they could make use of it.
I am happy to announce the launch of The Hawkins Compendium, a curation of material I have developed over the years while leading development teams and organizations to greater levels of productivity and collaboration.
The most requested item over the years has been for my approach to Cycle Planning, also known as Sprint Planning (Scrum) or Iteration Planning (Scrum, XP, whatever else), for batch-style processes. To honor that (long-overdue) request, I decided to begin the compendium with my Batch Cycle Planning and Tracking Guide (The watchful reader may find entertainment in the team example provided in the guide, should their tastes for fictional literature align with my own.).
I’ll continue fleshing out the content with the most-requested items first. It will be a work in progress, but there should be a core of impactful content before very long.
A heartfelt thank you to those who have persistently encouraged me to share this work over the years. I hope you find it to be helpful, and please share it with your colleagues!
